WILL CAPPER

Operations Manager

Gunnedah born, Will’s passion for agriculture and grape growing began when he moved to Cessnock in 1997 and started his viticulture traineeship under Ken Bray. He then worked at Tyrrell’s before joining HVV Management in 2006. As Operations Manager, Will oversees 18 vineyards in the Hunter Valley with his committed team. This client list includes both industry leaders and boutique estates, all of which look to develop wines of individual flavour, style and character.

Will's dedication and leadership has contributed to the ongoing growth and success of HVVM and his efforts have been recognised with nominations for:

* Hunter Valley Legends awards for Viticulturist of the year 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2019, and Rising Star 2013.

* Horticultural Grower of the Year Award 2015, part of the prestigious annual Australian Farmer of the Year Awards.

Char Burgess

Vineyard Operator

Char is born and bred into the wine industry growing up on his family vineyard and cellar door. Char is experienced in all machinery operation and has a special interest in Machine harvesting operations ,Irrigation pumps and new technology.​

Gary Jurd

Vineyard Operator

Gary has 35 years Industry experience and is familiar with all aspects of vineyard operations with his speciality being Machine Harvester and Machinery Operation.

Shayne Hudson

Vineyard Operator

Shayne has 10 years’ experience in Vineyard operations and specialises in weed control​.

James Vickery

Vineyard Operator

James has gained experience in with H.V.V.M over the last 10 years and specialises in the mechanics of how machinery operates.
